BECCA MANCARI featuring THE BELLWEATHER STATES.

Recent shows in the foothills of Central Virginia have been a showcase of local talent, and local legend BECCA MANCARI is no exception. This live video features her combining forces with DAVID SICKMEN AND THE BELLWEATHER STATES, proving that wonderful things can happen in Lynchburg, Virginia on the regular. What an evening!

This here is a live video from our dosed show with a pile of friends on February 20th, 2010 in Lynchburg, VA at Rivermont Pizza. David Sickmen was a founding member and songwriter for local bluegrass supergroup The Hackensaw Boys. He started The Bellweather States in 2009, and have been playing some shows in Central Virginia ever since. This song is called "You're On Your Own", and we digith.

This song was filmed live at Rivermont Pizza on January 8th 2010 in Lynchburg, Va by our buddy Tomas. It is a song about giving a hoot to not pollute (and maybe a little ass-whoopin' too). Holla!

Now if you know us by now, you pretty much can bank on some sort of DOSED project being released on Christmas Day. We always figured we would do this because;
A. We are and have been a studio band since our inception in 1992, and it's kinda hard to sell music when no one has seen you live.
B. We love giving music away to our friends because that's what we are here for.
C. We are to broke and too cheap to actually buy anything for anyone.

So, that being said, we are presenting our latest wintery project; a live DVD of the first official dosed performance filmed at THE PLAZA BOWL on December 11, 2009. Features the full radio show of the band with a short interview, and performing two songs as well as the full live show.

dosed promoted their upcoming show at THE PLAZA BOWL in Richmond, Va on WRIR 97.3 FM- Independent Radio with host Albert Green on Saturday December 5th 2009. They did a short interview after playing old favorites "Jesus Came To See Us" and "Autumn Afternoon".

DOSED- FORK UNION; THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON

FORK UNION was the first DOSED release to enlist outside help from folks like MV2 and DAVID BRYANT. The album has a more pastoral and organic feel, with more use of percussion and acoustics. The overall theme to the album is different as well, by dealing with such issues as religion and spirituality, it transcends past issues usually concerning relationships and partying.
RELEASED in March 2007, FORK UNION was, along with STUPID HOLIDAYS, a prolific year for the duo.

GUS DON MULER LIVE IN NELSON COUNTY.

There were some familiar faces in the crowd that night while GUS DON MULER played a long set with absolutely no practices or rehearsals under the belt. Boatloads of photos were taken and MV2 filmed the show in nearly its entirety. Michael will be releasing the footage just in time for Christmas.

DOSED- STUPID HOLIDAYS

STUPID HOLIDAYS was released on December 25th, 2007 as a Christmas gift to their friends and family. The album was assembled from bits and pieces recorded throughout the year, and was overdubbed during the late autumn months. Some songs were started on a 4-track tape recorder and later layered, mixed and edited.
